Fifth grade artists have been exploring the work of René Magritte and Patricia Ariel, while focusing on how both artists incorporate eyes into their artwork. They also learned about the science behind how the eye functions and applied that knowledge by creating their own eye-inspired art projects. Students selected prompts and worked from centers such as drawing, painting, and printmaking/photography. They could also chose to do a human or animals eye abstractly or realistically.
